  • Conduct: No disciplinary actions, including non-judicial punishments (Article 15) or court-martial convictions, during the qualifying period.
  • Performance: Must maintain an overall performance mark of at least 3.0 and a conduct mark of at least 3.0.

Ribbon Wear Devices:

  • Bronze Star – Awarded for each additional three-year period of qualifying service.
  • Silver Star – Worn in place of five bronze stars, representing six awards.
